Following multiple requests to sculpt this magical, mysterious fruit, I finally succumbed to the challenge to sculpt this luscious winter fruit. Its complex inner geometry demanded patience beyond patience as each individual seed was hand formed and set in place one at a time. Pomegranates have a bit of mystery about them. When confronted with the deep red leathery skin, some cooks falter and don’t know how to open the fruit efficiently. Others have no clue what scrumptious tangy delight is hidden there. Just like when you meet someone new or begin a novel, you truly cannot judge this book by its cover.
