Caper Plates

The request from Chef Jordan Lloyd to make a dining plate that would be a “canvas for his food” was motivation enough to get me working on these forms. Jordan is the chef and owner of the Bartlett Pear Inn in Easton, Maryland. His presentation and plating methods are so artful that I wanted to provide him with a plate as a palette.

The forms are simple, yet there are multiple platforms for the signature Bartlett Pear style. Color, form, movement – all have a home on these functional yet stylized dinner plates.
