Avocado Bubbler

My newest avocado is larger and livelier. The elegance and simplicity of this form take on a sense of grandeur when scaled up to six feet. But, the movement and burble of water remind us to relax, to breathe, to not take life too seriously. As with all of my work, I took pleasure in watching the transformation of this elemental shape into something formidable yet fun.

Plumbed or not, the Avocado is a dramatic sculpture replete with femininity which draws on the archetype of the Great Mother.
